PU Tek materials are made from coated polyester 'yarns' that are directly woven into the fabric structure to provide additional strength and durability.
The polyester yarn, i.e., the core, is coated with polyurethane.
The combination results in yarns that are extremely resistant to stretching and wear, which can then be directly woven into the structure of various fabrics, resulting in textiles with superior mechanical performance.
Putek fabrics are exceptionally strong yet simultaneously lightweight and flexible, allowing them to be easily cut, shaped, and sewn into clothing, footwear, and various other products.
Uppers made from PU Tek not only provide high protection to the user but also offer excellent durability while being lightweight, flexible, breathable, and waterproof. There is a small pocket on the shoe tongue for inserting laces to prevent them from coming undone.
